Resepectful, Harassment-Free Workplace
Our organization is committed to maintaining a positive work environment, free from discrimination and any form of harassment, including harassment based on gender, ethnic background, race, color, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected category. Any conduct or comments that create or encourage a hostile or intimidating environment for employees, contractors, suppliers, customers, or others will not be tolerated.
Prohibited Conduct
To help maintain a harassment and discrimination free environment, NEVER:
- Engage in any behavior that is or could be characterized as offensive, intimidating, or insulting.
- Engage in any form of harassment, such as making derogatory statements or jokes.
- Engage in sexual harassment, such as unwelcome sexual advances, comments or jokes, inappropriate physical contact, requests for sexual favors, or repeatedly steering conversations towards sex.
- Have a romantic relationship with a subordinate or direct supervisor without disclosing it to management or HR.
- Use your role as a supervisor to engage in “Quid Pro Quo” (This for That) sexual harassment, by either promising or granting favorable treatment in exchange for compliance with sexual advances or requests for sexual favors or threatening or carrying out negative treatment against someone who refuses sexual advances or requests for sexual favors.
- View, access, or share obscene, sexually explicit, threatening, or otherwise derogatory material in the work environment via the Internet, smartphones, tablets, or any other medium.
- Spread malicious rumors or otherwise attempt to humiliate or denigrate another person.
- Retaliate against any individual who, in good faith, files a complaint or assists with an investigation.
Reporting Harassment and Discrimination
If you believe you’re being harassed or witness behavior that you believe violates our Code or policies, you’re obligated to report it immediately to your supervisor, HR, the Law department, higher level management, the anonymous hotline, or any other internal reporting mechanism.
